Oh, Brother..

..this is my brother, Troy...and is lovely wife, Amy...(and yes she is tall, thin, tan, has a gorgeous smile and thick hair...darn her..kidding..:-) They make an amazing couple.

..and their handsome clan of boys...
..and and they look darn cute with these girlie additions too...

..and what a sweet uncle is he...

See that shiny gray hair that Troy is getting(insert sisterly laugh here...) well it is because he is 10 months older than I am..and always will be. We are Irish twins - even born in the same calender year...1968. (If you can do math..you will figure out that I have a BIG birthday coming up at the end of this year...hint, hint..but enough about me.) Also, if you do the math, you will figure out that Troy already had that big birthday(insert sisterly laugh here...).

As with many sibling relationships, we had our ups and downs...when we were little, we were the best of friends, my mom even dressed us alike, and we played with the same friends, same toys and were very close...we used to spend hours playing with our Hot Wheel cars(and yes, the Red Baron circa 1969 IS STILL MINE, Troy). During our pre-teen years we fought a lot - which is typical - but became good friends again in High School as we shared many of the same friends and interests. Even when we would fight, I knew he was there for me - my older brother was always there to get me out of some pretty stupid jams ...and we had a pretty good pact and respect for each other that we never "told" on each other to our parents.

Troy was the hot, quiet, jock in school - and most of my friends were madly in love with him...hhhmm, do you think they were my friends now just to get close to him...hhmmm, I will have to explore that more in counseling...kidding...as I used to date his hot friends too...

Troy is now an amazing husband, dad, provider, neighbor, friend, baseball coach, brother, uncle and son. Faithful to God and family. He is amazing with his nieces and they love him to pieces(I made a rhyme..hehehe). I am glad we can get home at least once per year to see him and Amy and my nephews. Now, if I could only talk them into coming up North once in awhile...as they think it's like coming to the Arctic circle and they need a dog-sled team to get here...but that is only during January and February.
xoxo, t

so sweet.

i hope that aidan and catie are close when they are older.

they pick on each other at home, but when we are @ the gym and they are in childcare i watch him taking care of her. today he got her a balloon when she did not have one, and he always holds her hand in the "singing room".

That was an awesome post!!! I am glad that you and your brother have found a life long friendship! Also that is so cool that you are only 10 months apart!!! I had a best friend in high school, she actually had a twin brother, and an older sister that was their irish twin!! LOL How would you like that? It would be like having triplets! LOL
