How to Make a Mommy Proud...
Eloise had Wednesday off from school this week. I sat her down and held her pretty little face, looked into her hazel eyes, and said.."WE get to have a special day - we can do ANYTHING you want to do after we drop Esther at school!" She thinks a minute and then says.."I think I would like to go to Starbucks and share a Chai Tea Latte, and then go to Oilily to buy a new dress for me..."
Seriously, I actually cried huge tears of joy - be still my heart! It was such a proud moment. I really had hoped the day would come when my girls got older, that we would be - sharing lattes, going shopping, getting manicures, drinking afternoon tea, going to Chick-Flicks, etc...but had no idea it would start already at 5 years old. I have evidently raised her right!
Unfortunately, when I have asked Esther this question, she still would rather go to the Dolphin show at the Zoo - but she is only 3...so I still have time to work on her.

Finally! I hadn't been here since April 16th. Great to see the girls. I'm sending them a package today. I'm finally feeling better - viral meningitis, again. Had it last Jul in Dul.
Keep up the great Blogging,
Love Aunt Gail
Bill had a similar feeling last year taking Ani to the double black diamond runs at A-Basin Colorado. He thought he would have to wait until she was 14 or so, and there she was at 10. "Lets go Dad!" I thought he was going to burst with pride!
LOL @ Eloise's "special day" requests. Looks like she's following in her mommy's footsteps.
Beth, your comment made me LOL at the comparison...hhhmmm skiing vs. shopping and coffee..LOLOL
I thought they were pretty similar myself! I know which I prefer and it has nothing to do with snow!
