Bloom where you are Planted...

The Summer after 4th grade, I made a fabric wall hanging in Vacation Bible School(yes, I went to Vacation Bible School...please don't mock me...) that said "Bloom where you are Planted." It is one of the few items that I saved all of these years. I am not sure why - well, it is darn pretty and I had it hung on my bedroom wall for 10 years I think...but to this day I have no clue what it means. I mean, I am not a plant or a flower...I hate dirt and worms...so I don't want to be a plant or flower. Am I suppose to stay where I grew-up(planted?) - I hope not...no offense, I grew-up in Indiana and I really didn't like it there? So, for those of you who actually listened during Vacation Bible School vs. chasing boys and making cute crafts...please clue me in to the deep and hidden meaning, okay?

Yikes, I only used that title as I wanted to share our first blooms of the season in our yard - yesterday...yes, almost mid-May. Crazy, cold Winter left everything dormant forever it seems. I think it's a rhododendron...or maybe and an azalea? - I have no clue...again, it grows out of dirt and has worms on it's roots, I don't pay much attention to it, and you know I sure as shoot didn't plant it! It is pretty though!
"See my smile"

..so, I know the girls were more of my focal point than the flowers...but you get the general idea...they are pretty. Gosh, you don't think that "Bloom were you are Planted" means my girls will live with us forever, do you? They are cute and tons of fun...but I do think they should go off to college soon, right?

I think you are asking for interpretations - here's mine: "Make the most of where you are and live each moment fully" I wonder if your girls will end up living in Indiana someday:)

I have no deep, thoughtful insight to share. But holy cow, look how tall Eloise is getting! I can't get over those long, skinny legs in the one picture!
