I am just a Simple Girl, Who leads a Simple Life...First I was a Mother, and then I was a Wife...

..okay, not true...but it did not rhyme the other way.

Happy Mothers Day!...to the many women in my life...my Mom, my Mother-in-law, my sister-in-laws, my Grandma, my Aunts, my cousins, my friends, my neighbors...

Being a Mom is the best thing that ever happened to me. It was something totally unplanned, frightening, exciting, wonderful and completely new.

This is me 30 minutes before Eloise was born(yes, I know...I am huge...) I remember this moment vividly and I know that at the time...I HAD NO CLUE what I was getting into! I was not prepared for the title that I was becoming...I did not know what it meant or felt to be mom.

Five days later, when they MADE me leave the hospital...I cried and cried..could it be that they were really letting me take her home? Was I ready for that...could I really take care of her without the nurses help? She is so little...what if she cries all of the time?

When we got home 10 minutes later I cried again and called my MOM - "what am I suppose to do now?" I said as I just stared at this sweet little face looking to ME for all of her needs? I think my mom just kind of laughed at me and told me to just be her Mom....

...I think it took me only about 12 hours at home with Eloise, and then it all just kind of clicked. Eloise would help me, tell me what she needs...I could do this...I could be a Mom...and I cherish every moment that my kids continue to teach me how to be a mom, a good mom, a great mom for them...everyday.

Thank YOU, Mom for all you have done for me - I am very lucky and blessed to have you!

...I was not exactly sure what I would blog about today...but I could not do this post without thinking about my Grandma. I miss you...daily, hourly, every minute. You were the best Grandma anyone could ever have. I love you simply, deeply and forever. I hope you know that you could never escape our thoughts. Eloise made a card for you and held it up to heaven for you to read yesterday...yes, she knows red roses are your favorite.

Happy Mothers Day, Grandma...
...you were an amazing Mom...

...Grandma...

...and Great-Grandma...

xoxoxo...Tracy

P.S...Eloise sang a little song too...

I have read this 4 times today and cried each time:( It doesn't matter how old you are when you lose your Mother - Mother's Day just isn't the same. I am trying to be the best Mother and Grammy I can be.
