Lice Ramblings...

In this 7 day period I have the Matilda Jane Launch, Esther's birthday party and Girl Scout Cookie delivery (did I mention I am cookie mom?).

The above list was highly manageable..unless you get sick and lice.

Did I mention I was sick and lost my voice? It rocks. I have sexy 4 pack a day smokers voice now. Call me.

Matilda Jane is still selling without me there. Not sure I am comfortable with that sentence.

Poor Esther's party has been postponed by two weeks. No one wants to come to a lice heads party - nor enter her house. That would not be a nice parting gift to give.

The cookies will have to live in our garage until we can get them delivered. I have heard they freeze well.

Tiernee still comes daily to pick my head. This is a trait of a very good friend. Not only is she not worried about getting lice, she brings Chocolate babka and never mentions how horribly gray my hair is or that I should really investigate some Head and Shoulders. She is my window to the outside world. I have been locked in with my kids for 6 days now. She will enter my home and act like we are normal and not fear for her life. You can tell she has had lice before. She is happy to wage war with me.

I miss people. A statement I never thought I would make.

Awwwww, what a friend. I am happy for you to have such a faithful & fearless friend to help you wage your war. But, when will it end?

Are you starting to have COOKIE nightmares? If it's not MJ cookies it's the GS variety breathing down your neck.

Miss Tiernee is golden, and a much better friend than I can possibly be right now. But I will bring you wine....and a lovely fur stole that I am creating out of all of the mice we have been catching...

I really can't believe this. My hubby had to hear your sad tale over breakfast today-- and how could he possibly understand the craziness of MJ on top of Girl Scout cookies and a birthday party and LICE!!

oh my.

Girl. I would never leave you to stand alone against the lice. I get some sort of sick satisfaction out of picking them out of hair and watching them die. DIE, DIE, LITTLE SUCKERS, DIE!!

It's been pleasurable. Thanks for giving me a focus for my rage ... and a reason to buy and eat chocolate babka after I decided to give up pastries for Lent. I am a bad Catholic. Although ... maybe I'll get sainted for my fearlessness in lice battles... a Catholic can dream....

I also began to itch... RGH... and then off to pick up Miss O at pre-school where we have been blessed with "Bailey Bear" for the weekend... OMG... it is a stuffed bear, with a blanket and a change of clothes and an adventure book. OR you might just call it lice transport... similar to the subway, from one house to the next... 1st photo of Bailey Bear will be in a 15 gallon ziplock with the "lice inhibitor" and then, just maybe, it will get to come inside... As if I will let my child snuggle with a toy that has been "around the block"... RRRRGH.
Why would a teacher think there is ANYTHING good in this exercise... We immediately made a Lysol pit stop... My poor daughter does not understand and I am stepping cautiously around passing my phobias on to her...
Bless You for your recent trials... Cross you fingers I'm not headed that direction...
XOXO,
S

Okay...I had the week from hell for the same reasons (minus selling the MJ I just have a trunk show to to prepare my house for.) We had a birthday, birthday party, doctor appointments & Girl Scout cookie delivery. 9I am also the cookie mom.) I barely survived & I am NOT sick...or have lice. Hope all is better soon!!!
