Hope...

PhotobucketAlign Center
This week has been frustrating to me - with the passage of Health Care Reform - the debates have taken over Facebook, casual conversations and internet chat boards.

Frankly, I am over it. I am too old to debate and fight, or to prove that I am right and you are wrong. Most of you know my political leanings and probably how I feel about it - but who really cares to hear about it? Even though "I" seemingly won - maybe I am not happy with the watered down version that is what it is. Whatever.

Instead of debating with my fellow mom's, friends, husband, old high-school drinking buddies, or listening/reading the hate and anger and just general angst and energy going into things this week - I, today, choose to focus on Hope.

No matter the economy, the war, the government, the haters, the bitchy babies or the cost of milk - there are still babies being born..and that is hope. I cannot wait to see this movie.

Have a great weekend.

I am so, so, so glad that I am not the only person excited about this movie. I squeal with delight every time I see it!

I, too, am terribly sick of the health care talk invading every aspect of life. Blech.
Any movie about babies I would adore. ;)

Thanks for sharing the movie clip, so cute! I haven't heard of this movie but now it's a must see!

As for the rest, you know how I feel. I probably should have posted a more graceful post like you did. I kind of tried to "wrap it up" since I'd already made the mistake of mentioning it.

I haven't engaged in any debates. But I will be happy when fun social things like Facebook go back to *fun*. =)

I haven't watched any of the news on the health care stuff so will wait to see what shakes down. I think it should be called Health Insurance reform instead. Anyway, thanks for posting the movie clip. I MUST see this film. A much better topic than health care reform.

Who knew the end of the world would come in the form of the inability to deny children coverage b/c of pre-existing conditions?! You'll be proud to know, T, that I'm excited about this new bill, and I'm praying this change does America good.

Heather - just a note to say I loved your blog post..as well as many thoughtful posts from others who do not agree with the bill....there are many smart and thoughtful people are there who can kindly agree and disagree.

Melanie..lolol about the end of the world...and wow, I am honored to have your on my "side" - can you please talk to my husband, as he is not with us on this...and since I evidently in his eyes am a "bleeding heart liberal, pot-smoking, hippie democrat" - he will not listen to me.;)

I can't wait to see this movie!! BTW, the first two babies made me think of Poj and A. Funny.

On health care, all I'll say is that, it is simple economics in many ways. There is no money in preventative care so government has to provide it. The alternative is a Darwinian society run amuck. We should have started on this path a long time ago. We are far behind now.

But I'm hopeful!!
