Speaking of Organization...

I am a bit worried here.

Eloise has started making these to-do lists on for her and Esther to follow on Saturdays and Sundays.

You know, the days when other kids just play.

Well, if you look closely - she does list play "if we can" and watch TV "if we can." (i.e. if big mean mommy lets us)

Thank goodness she does list and check off "get up" also. Yes, they check off each item as they complete them.

To my family -yes, I know I am "super structured, don't mess with my kids schedules and you are FIRED from babysitting if you don't follow my super strict structured crazy ass rules at my house" kind of mom. I am not flexible. I know this. thankyouverymuch

But I will not take the blame for my kids anal to-do lists they make when they are 6 years old. It is not my fault.

I will never ever be as organized as Eloise. I love this girl.

As always, your pics are just so cute, but please don't worry. Everyone has their own personality and you should celebrate the fact that Eloise is so organized. The flip side is... she could be a total slouch who has a messy room and doesn't do her homework. Grab me a tissue please, because I think I'm talking about my boys here on Bixby... and I was trying to come up with some crying noises, but not sure how to write them. Yeah, be happy.

oh my gosh that is so funny and cute! make sure you grab one of her lists and hide it away with the keepsakes. that's one you'll love in 20 years!

S is exactly the same way. She LOVES to make lists. She can't write yet so she draws pictures to represent her items instead. She freaks if we skip anything. Sometimes I have to tell her, "honey, we are a home with 4 small children under the age of 7. Sometimes things just don't get done. I've had to let go of doing the dishes or washing clothes. I promise it will be OK!" LOL

Oh how I wish my list still looked like this...

I have tried many ways of scheduling & planning my days... I'm learning to just wing it... I do use the Outlook calendar... for long term stuff... since I am on the computer often... it does send me reminders... And each evening before bed I do a 10 second tidy (actually more like 15 minutes...) fold clothes, empty dishwasher, prepare kids bags & clothes for morning... and decide what breakfast will be... by planning that little bit I am able to manage my morning... which results in a more productive day... UGH... but throw in a curve ball and I'm done... frazzeled... rammmmmed out... I'm trying to go w/less structure... therefore less disappointment all around!
Oh, and bi-weekly cleaning help is my own special treat... some women buy purses... I buy help! :)

Grammys worried. Now if she were playing school and making lists - fun. You might want to see what her list has on it before the day gets started to make sure she has lots of check marks. Maybe she could make a few of these lists for "Daddy" so he could check them off. I'm pretty exhausted just reading her list - it's much longer than mine! I think she's going to be an attorney.

Woke up this morning. Check.

Well, Eloise is a girl after my own heart. Not sure where those genes came from, but the two of us might have to go through some list de-programming at some point. That made me laugh!

God Bless Eloise. She is a chip off her grandma's block, for good or for bad!
If she's not an attorney maybe a teacher. Teaching always requires a check off list. Being organized has it'd good and bad points. Ask the people in the family. They all depend on my lists but don't always like them. HA!
