I am where I should be...

Everyone is talking about the weather this week.

Below zero in Minnesota.

Snowstorms in Kentucky.

Ice in Florida.

Storms in Germany.

We could escape to the only warmth in California, but there is that pesky earthquake to deal with...

I only complain about the weather when it is too hot. I hate to sweat and cannot keep cool enough to be comfortable in heat and humidity.

When we go home to Indiana - even their July heat keeps me indoors in the a/c most every day.

We keep our home heated to a maximum of 59 degrees - even in the dead of Winter.

I like it cold - very cold.

I am also so glad we live in Minnesota where we can enjoy an ice rink in our own backyard.

I am right where I should be.

xoxo,t

I am trying to get the motivation up to dust off my skates today. Instead I am looking at cruises. As much as I would love a skating rink in my back yard, I cannot say I love the cold as much as you do! But that rink is super cool. Where are the pictures of mama on skates?

59 degrees!!! Wow, that is a bit chilly, but I do prefer a cold house when I sleep!
And the back yard ice rink does look pretty fantastic! Adorable pics! Love the cat out on the ice!
Have a lovely week in the frozen tundra!

What a nice rink! I am quite impressed. Great place to have the kids play and watch them. My butt is cold as I look at them sitting on the cold snow - where is that warming shack?? Probably don't want to get them something like that since it would then be warmer than the house! 59 - tooo cold for me. The girls look so cute with there darling outfits and nice new skates.

59?!?! I would DIE! You would find me curled up, a cold, frozen popsicle where my body should be. LOL Our heating bill jumped 70 bucks this month. Yes, you read that right!

FIFTY-NINE!?! Reminds me of the Jimmy Carter White House. :) (*Side note, I love Jimmy and am not making fun, just amazed that people can function when it's that cold inside.)
That rink in the backyard is AWESOME! If I showed my kids your backyard rink, they'd have major rink envy. Our city doesn't have an outdoor rink this year and my kids are dying for it! Thankfully it will be back next year.

I like it 59 in my house too.....when I'm sound asleep in my nice cozy bed with the electric blanket cranked up to high. I hate winter. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I get cold about October and won't be warm again until June. My hands are cold all the time. I finally have gotten my feet warm by wearing wool socks inside my cozy sherpa-lined LL Bean slippers. I'm counting the days until we get to escape this nasty cold and spend spring break in Florida.

I'm like a Polar Bear too, Tracy. I absolutely love the cold & snow. Love it. My least favorite season is summer. My sister has talked me into going to CA & AZ with her the end of the month and I don't want to go. I am not a beach and sand girl, give me sweater weather and I'm at my best.

My Dad asked me what we keep our thermostat set to and when I told him 66, I took his breath away. The next time he called, he had to ask again what we kept our house at, I think he thought her surely misheard me (they keep their house at 78, ACCK...part of the reason I'm not looking forward to going to AZ. Can we say HOT and STUFFY 10 times?)

Here's to winter my kindred spirit. How many more days till summer heat?

you are a crazy person. 59 degrees!!!

My brother is in Minnesota right now but I thought it would be weird if I told him to drop by your house for dinner.
